Meschede
Meschede
The easy tour starts directly at the train station in Meschede. The route takes you over the Ruhr Bridge, through the newly designed pedestrian zone (please push your bike here) to Kaiser-Otto-Platz and on along Steinstraße, where you turn into Hennepark at junction 23.
Alternatively, you can cycle along the beautifully designed Hennen Boulevard instead of through the pedestrian zone. This leads from the city center along the river Hennen behind the Kreishaus through the Hennepark to the Himmelstreppe, which you can climb (on foot) to the dam.
Continue along the car-free edge path along the Hennesee. The eastern shore of the lake is wonderfully quiet and may only be used by walkers and cyclists. Right at the beginning, you can take a detour to the "SinnePfad".
At the end of the edge path, the route does not turn off over the bridge to Mielinghausen, but leads along the road via Gut Horbach to the half-timbered village of Remblinghausen. From Remblinghausen, follow the well-maintained cycle path back to Meschede.
