The ZeichenKURS in Drolshagen combines two activities that aren’t always paired together: hiking and drawing—and all in the great outdoors. This short hike takes place between the villages of Siebringhausen and Essinghausen. A total of six different stops invite participants to sketch the scenes and natural surroundings and interpret them artistically. Whether you choose pencil sketches or colorful crayon drawings—the experience is definitely unique and highly recommended for every artist.

A total of 6 stations await you, where you’ll be drawing. Whether it’s natural scenes, different surfaces, or textures—here you can discover and learn many techniques and subjects.For a drawing walk like this, it’s best to bring the following items: A sketchpad: preferably with a relatively smooth surface so that fine details are easier to see while drawing. If the surface is too rough, you won’t be able to capture fine textures on the paper as well.Two pencils: one H-grade and one B-grade. A mechanical pencil (TK pencil) for 0.5 mm leads is also handy here.A pencil sharpener and an eraserColored pencils, if you want to color your drawings.A ruler is also handy.You can easily cut out a viewfinder from a piece of paper (approx. 12 x 8 cm, see image above).
