This cycle tour runs along the banks of the Hennesee and the B55.

Along the B55, the cycle path runs along the hard shoulder of the road. Unfortunately, there is not yet a separate cycle path along this section.
The path on the other side of the lake is completely asphalted - and car-free!

This cycle tour is an excellent way to get an overview of the Hennesee. Take a detour to the SinnePfad, go for a swim in the Berghauser Bucht or discover the "Pirate Bay" adventure playground.

Information

Directions

From the parking lot, we head towards Hennedamm. From the platform above the Himmelstreppe, we have wonderful views over the district and university town of Meschede. We cross the dam and follow the path to the right along the lakeshore. Now we cycle approx. 7 km on the asphalted, car-free lakeside path. Once we reach Mielinghausen, we cross the dam and then follow the B55 along the lakeshore to Berghausen. Here we turn right and reach Berghausener Badebucht. From here, the path is car-free again. There is a large adventure playground with a kiosk in Berghauser Bucht. After approx. 1.5 km we reach our starting point again.
