You won't become a Helden by riding this lap. However, you will definitely improve your form, as the many rather short hills take their toll despite the short total distance. The route leads north past Plettenberg via Sonneborn to St. Claas and from here to Helden, ending back in Attendorn after a beautiful descent.

Wearing a bicycle helmet should be a matter of course for all cyclists. Before setting off, check that your bike is in perfect condition. For demanding tours, we recommend packing plenty of drinks and snacks.
A rescue point system has been installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerlandkreis, Märkischer Kreis, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district). Rescue points can be found on the information boards at the junctions of the Südwestfalen cycle network.
A visit to Burg Schnellenberg or the Altstadt in Attendorn is well worth a trip. A visit to the nearby Biggesee and Listersee lakes is also a must.

The town of Attendorn is easy to reach via the A4 highway (Cologne - Olpe) and the A45 Sauerland route. On the A45, take the Attendorn/Olpe exit and follow the signs, which will take you past small villages along the Biggesee, or take the Meinerzhagen exit and follow the signs to Attendorn from there.
