The starting point is the parking lot at the tourist information office, Kirchstraße 6, Diemelsee-Heringhausen.

From the parking lot, turn into Kirchstraße and cycle towards the Sperrmauer. At the minigolf course, turn right onto Siekesweg. We leave the Diemelsteighütte on the left and follow the Siekesweg from Heringhausen. The path leads us in the direction of Rhenegge. We pass through Rhenegge and continue on to Adorf. We follow Arolserstraße until the turn-off to Heimberg. We then roll quite comfortably towards Vasbeck. After passing through the village, we follow the signposts through the forest to Hofgut Frederinghausen. 5 minutes later we reach Massenhausen with its toy museum and are now in the Bad Arolsen district, but before we reach the former residential town, the historic half-timbered town of Mengeringhausen invites us to visit it.
