Following in the footsteps of the noblemen of Gevore, who resided between the Veischede and Lenne rivers from the 20th century onwards, this technically easy tour leads past the ruins of their once proud castles. Where noble knights roamed the paths of the Sauerland on their horses in the dark Middle Ages, today mountain bikers are also well-equipped to explore the varied landscape in the western part of the low mountain range.
The Gevore tour doesn't miss out on any of the highlights in the area: The Peperburg ruins near Grevenbrück, Burg Bilstein, Burg Schnellenberg, and the Aussichtsturm Hohe Bracht are among the most important stops on the tour, which is moderately difficult in terms of fitness.
Starting points are either the settlement of Apollmicke near Olpe or in Lennestadt-Grevenbrück. Thanks to the robust surface, the trails are easy to cycle on at any time of year.
