Cycle around the lake and discover the most beautiful spots and corners of the lake. This cycle tour shows the Sorpesee from its most beautiful side. There are many opportunities to stop off and enjoy the Sauerland gastronomy, take a look at the special Finnish and Swedish houses or simply take a dip in the cool water.
There is plenty to discover during the tour, such as a water playground or the promenade - or enjoy a trip on the water with the MS Sorpesee.
So let's set off for an exciting day on Lake Sorpesee!
The cycle tour starts at the Sorpedamm parking lot. From the lake stage, you first ride over the dam of the Sorpetalsperre and enjoy the view of the lake during the crossing or to the left into the valley of the equalizing reservoir and the power station.Once you reach the other bank, turn right and follow the path for 9 km to the boat landing stage in Amecke. Along the way, you regularly have beautiful views of the Sorpesee, can visit the Kryillwald forest and there is the opportunity to stop at one of the many dreamy bays and enjoy nature. Many benches invite you to take a break; however, there are no refreshment stops on this side of the lake. Once you arrive at the landing stage in Amecke, turn right and cross the bridge between the forebay and the Sorpesee. At campsite 5, you can take a break and try out the "Wasser- und Atemaktiv-Airlebnisweg" around the forebay. After the bridge, follow the cycle path along the L687 to Langscheid. Here you can enjoy the beautifully landscaped Sorpe promenade and have a refreshing drink on one of the many terraces of the restaurants or enjoy the delicious regional cuisine.Waypoints: 35 40 37 35
