The R2 offers hikers a high proportion of natural forest and field paths. From the center of Rhenegge, the R2 climbs steadily up to the Koppen, a mountain directly above the Diemelsee. As you walk around the Koppen, you are well protected in the forest. On the remaining sections of the hiking trail, you can let your eyes wander over meadows and fields.

A few kilometers further on is the district of Heringhausen with the Diemelsee reservoir. With various leisure and refreshment facilities, the village invites you to discover and linger.
