You have two options on this hike: Either first through the forest and then to the water, or vice versa. Either way, there will be a bit more hustle and bustle at the water's edge.

Information

Directions

The starting point of this water and forest hike is the parking lot on Seestraße or one of the other available parking spaces (subject to a charge). First cross Seestraße at the traffic island to reach the Airlebnisweg. Now follow this path around to the left, once around the forebay of the Sorpetalsperre dam, not without trying out the numerous stations such as the health trail, Sorpe diamond, barefoot path or the water treading area in the lake. When you reach the Julianenhütte parking lot again, the second part of the hike begins and you enter the forest. Now follow hiking trail A in a circle to the left in the direction of "Krause Eiche". Climb steadily uphill through the "Erlenbrücher" nature reserve and after 1 km you will reach the natural monument. You will soon find out why this stately old oak tree is so named. From now on, follow the X24 hiking sign, which leads you through the "Kamberg" nature reserve with sweeping views to the "Am Rhode" road. Walk downhill along this road to reach the Airlebnisweg again. Wenden to the right, enjoy the view of the water once again and reach the Julianenhütte parking lot after a few hundred meters.
