A medium-difficulty bike tour for which a good basic level of fitness is required.
The starting point is at the Diemelsee tourist information parking lot in Heringhausen.
We turn from the parking lot into Kirchstraße and cycle towards the Sperrmauer. After approx. 500m, turn right onto Siekesweg and follow the path out of Heringhausen. The path leads us through the high valley towards Rhenegge. We pass through Rhenegge and continue towards Adorf. We follow the Arolserstraße until the turn-off to Heimberg. There we have to face an ascent. Once at the top, we roll via Wirmighausen to the northernmost part of the district town of Korbach, the village of Helmscheid. After crossing the country road, a rapid descent awaits us in the direction of Korbach, which has twice hosted the Hessentag.
We cycle around Korbach on the left and after approx. 32 km we reach the former southern railroad station, an ideal starting point for a subsequent tour of the town.
