Kletterwand Scharpenbeul

The area has around 35 climbing routes. The levels of difficulty are between 3 and 8 according to the UIAA rating, with a focus on 5 and 6.

The length of the routes is between 12 and 18 meters, the protection is consistently good to very good with pitons.

The routes were set up between 2010 and 2012 by the Gummersbach section of the Alpine Club, which still looks after and maintains the area today.

The climbing crag can be used all year round, access is free for everyone, but please leave the forest before sunset and do not enter the protected rock faces.

Access: The easiest way is to use the parking lot at the junction of the road "In der Bunne" directly on the Lister and from there always walk to the right of the stream past the sewage treatment plant into the forest. After passing two vacation cottages, it takes about 10-15 minutes to reach the crag, which is located on the right-hand side of a meadow.

Important rules: No fires, no smoking, no camping.
