The spacious Otto-Fuchs-Platz in the heart of Meinerzhagen, directly adjacent to the Meinerzhagen town hall, is the town's new open-air event center in southern Märkisches Sauerland. Not only does the weekly market take place here every Friday, but various music events, festivals and the Meinerzhagen Winter Lounge are now also part of the calendar of events in this friendly small town.
But even without events, the square invites you to linger and offers families in particular an entertaining stay. A variety of play equipment is waiting to be discovered by children of all ages. Small fountains designed as water play areas offer refreshment on warm summer days.
Information boards about the Sauerland Höhenflug long-distance hiking trail, which starts in Meinerzhagen, can also be found on the edge of Otto-Fuchs-Platz.
