Nestled in the Sundern woods and divided into foreshore and reservoir, the Sorpesee invites you to a variety of leisure and sports activities such as swimming, diving, sailing, surfing, rowing, fishing, cycling, (mini)-golfing or hiking. The modern, Mediterranean promenade in Langscheid and the barrier-free circular path "Airlebnisweg" in Amecke enrich the wide range of leisure activities at Sorpesee. Many resting benches, playgrounds and interactive stations inspire not only the youngest visitors.

The passenger ship "MS Sorpesee" shuttles between the two villages every hour between Good Friday and the end of October and invites you to a relaxing boat trip. Thus, the Sorpesee is not only the deepest, but certainly also the most sporty reservoir in the whole area and definitely worth a trip.
