The Graevenstein (526 m above sea level) is not only the watershed between Bigge and Lenne, but also the border between Olpe and Lennestadt. Also the district border between Olpe and Siegen-Wittgenstein runs in the immediate vicinity.
Hiking tip A2:
Right at the beginning of the 9.2 km long hike (level: medium; duration: approx. 2.5 hours), a fantastic panorama awaits you at the Engelsberg. If the view is clear, you can even see the Ölberg and the Löwenburg in the Siebengebirge. Further on, the A2 leads down to the beautiful gold village of Rehringhausen (with the possibility to stop for a break) and back through the Rehringhauser forest with numerous Siepen.
Hiking tip N:
A varied and panoramic circular trail N around Neuenkleusheim (trail length: 14.8 km; level: medium; duration: approx. 4 hours) .It leads for the most part over the heights of the Olper Land. Again and again, sections that lead through high forest alternate with open meadow areas. The panoramic views along the way are also impressive. Theview from the Engelsberg reaches far in the direction of Sauerland-Bergisches Land-Siegerland and the Westerwald. Near the resting place "Hohen Hagen" above Neuenkleusheim and the Altenkleusheimer wayside cross , a view of the Kindelsberg tower, the blockhouse and in the north the Nordhelle opens up.
Another special feature is the Marienkapelle with water wheel and bell, which is located in the middle of the Buchenwald in the Beismicke and built in baroque style. The small church was built between 1945 and 1947 tothank for the fact that Neuenkleusheim was not destroyed during the war. The water wheel with the three bells is driven by water from the former mine "Schwarz-Rot-Gold". Visitors can enjoy nature on eight resting benches near the chapel.
